This month's highlights include Desktop App 2.0, faster and more accurate transcripts, internal-only meeting access, a OneNote integration, AI-based team sharing, and a few other improvements.
MeetGeek Desktop App 2.0
MeetGeek Desktop went through several improvements in the last few months. It records any call on your Mac or Windows machine with no bot joining the meeting, and now it brings the rest of MeetGeek into the app.
Record any call, on any platform: Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Webex, and any other conferencing app, plus Slack Huddles and WhatsApp calls.
Capture conversations with no meeting link: in-person meetings and in-room conversations.
Get prompted to record: notifications for calendar meetings and for calls that start without warning when the app detects your microphone is in use.
Work without leaving the app: past meeting insights, AI Chat, and AI Studio (Skills and Voice Agents) all run inside the Desktop App.
Record offline: recordings upload when you reconnect. The app can also launch at startup, so it's ready when a call begins.

Faster and Sharper Transcripts
We upgraded the speech-to-text models behind MeetGeek's transcription. Every summary, action item, and search result is built on it, so a better transcription improves all of them.
Faster transcripts: transcription is about 70% faster across all languages, so your meeting notes are ready sooner after the call ends.
More accurate in the languages most meetings use: fewer transcription mistakes in Chinese, Cantonese, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish.
Custom dictionary support: your custom dictionary words now apply in those same 11 languages, so names, product terms, and acronyms come out right.
Better language detection: MeetGeek picks up the spoken language more reliably, especially Portuguese, Spanish, and Italian.

AI-based Team Sharing
Team sharing rules no longer have to be fixed filters. Write the condition in plain language, like "only share sales meetings" or "share everything except 1:1s", and MeetGeek checks it against each meeting's content before sharing.
Rules in plain language: no rule builder, no calendar labels to maintain.
Checked against the meeting itself: MeetGeek reads the summary and context of each meeting to decide whether it matches.
Clearer rule, better result: the more precisely the condition is described, the more accurately sharing is applied.

Internal-Only Meetings (Restrict Meeting Access)
There's a new meeting access level for teams that want some meetings to stay in-house. When a meeting is restricted, only internal users can access it: people who share the meeting owner's email domain. That includes the post-meeting email, which only goes to internal participants.
Set it as your default: apply it to all future meetings from your settings.
Set it per meeting: choose it for an upcoming meeting, or change it later from the share drawer.
💡 Available for accounts on a company email domain. It isn't available for public domains such as @gmail.com.

New Integration: OneNote
MeetGeek now integrates with Microsoft OneNote. After each meeting, the summary and key points are synced into OneNote as a page, in the notebook where your team already keeps its notes. You can:
Send meeting summaries and key points to OneNote automatically with workflows
Share individual meetings to OneNote by hand

Other Improvements
Gmail: Drafts & CC
The Gmail integration can now create, edit, and send drafts, and add CC recipients to emails it sends. Change the recipient, subject, or CC on a draft before sending, without rewriting the message.
⚠️ Reconnect Gmail in your integrations to enable the new actions.
Redesigned Past Meetings
The Past Meetings page and meeting logs have a new layout and load faster after you log in. The redesign is live on the web app and the Desktop App.
Redesigned User Management & Preferences
User Management has a cleaner layout, with inviting users, updating roles, and managing licences handled in side drawers. Plan, seat, and role changes now show up instantly in every open session, with no reload. The Preferences page also has a new layout and clearer settings categories.
Admin & Security Controls
SSO enforcement: companies using SSO can require members to log in through SSO only (web and Desktop App).
Desktop recorder switch: admins can turn off recording from the Desktop App for the whole organization, under Organization settings → Recording → Disable desktop recorder (requires Desktop App version 2.4.3 or later).
Live settings sync: settings changed by an admin or a plan change now reach every signed-in session in under a second, with a note explaining what changed.
