WhatsApp Quickstart Guide

Connect WhatsApp to MeetGeek to receive meeting summaries, ask questions about your meetings, and trigger actions in your connected tools.

Written by Dan Huru

The WhatsApp integration turns WhatsApp into a two-way interface for your meetings. MeetGeek can automatically send meeting summaries to your WhatsApp, and you can chat back — ask questions about past conversations and trigger actions across your connected tools, all without leaving WhatsApp.

In this guide:

Connect WhatsApp to MeetGeek

Step 1: Open the WhatsApp integration

  1. Go to your MeetGeek dashboard at app.meetgeek.ai.

  2. Under the Apps tab, find and click the WhatsApp card.

Step 2: Enter your phone number

  1. In the WhatsApp Phone Number field, enter your number in international format (e.g. +1 234 567 8900).

  2. Click Continue. MeetGeek sends a verification code to that WhatsApp number.

Step 3: Verify your number

  1. Check your WhatsApp messages for the verification code.

  2. Enter it in the Verification Code field and click Verify.

Step 4: Connect

  1. Review the consent notice — by enabling the integration, you agree to let MeetGeek send meeting summaries to your WhatsApp number automatically after each meeting, based on your configuration.

  2. Click Connect to finalize. WhatsApp now appears as a connected app on your Integrations & Automations page.

Note: The WhatsApp integration is available on all MeetGeek plans, including the Free plan.

Set up WhatsApp workflows

Once WhatsApp is connected, create automated workflows to control which meeting content gets sent to your WhatsApp number.

Create a workflow

  1. On the Integrations & Automations page, click the Workflows tab.

  2. Click Create new workflow.

  3. Configure it:

    • Given a: choose Meeting to send the full meeting summary.

    • Which name contains: enter a keyword to filter which meetings trigger the workflow, or leave it empty to include all meetings.

    • Send to: select WhatsApp.

  4. Set any additional filters or options, then click Save workflow.

From then on, MeetGeek sends meeting content to your WhatsApp based on the rules you configured.

Example workflows

Send all meeting summaries to WhatsApp — Given a: Meeting | Which name contains: (empty) | Send to: WhatsApp.

Send only client-call summaries — Given a: Meeting | Which name contains: "Client" | Send to: WhatsApp.

Important: The "Which name contains" field is case-sensitive. Make sure the keyword matches the meeting name exactly.

Use WhatsApp as a meeting assistant

Beyond receiving summaries, you can use WhatsApp as a chat interface for your meetings.

Ask questions about your meetings

Message MeetGeek directly in WhatsApp to pull insights across your meetings. For example:

  • "What did the client say about pricing?"

  • "Summarize my last sales call."

  • "What were the key action items from yesterday's meetings?"

MeetGeek searches your meeting history and replies with relevant answers and context.

Trigger actions in other tools

You can also act on meeting insights and sync them to your connected apps from WhatsApp. For example:

  • "Create tasks from this meeting in Notion."

  • "Add action items to Asana."

  • "Send this summary to Slack."

These actions rely on your existing integrations and workflows, taking you from insight to execution without leaving WhatsApp.

Disconnect WhatsApp

  1. Go to the Integrations & Automations page and find WhatsApp in your connected apps.

  2. Go to Settings > Disconnect > Save.

Note: Disconnecting WhatsApp deletes all workflows set for WhatsApp in MeetGeek.
