With MeetGeek, you can record Zoom meetings on autopilot.
The best way to ensure your Zoom meetings are recorded is to enable auto-recording in your preferences:
When enabled, the MeetGeek Notetaker will join your Zoom calls as a participant at the scheduled start time. After the meeting you get (video or audio) recording, transcript, AI summary and performance insights of your meeting.

Okay, but what if you want an accurate transcript, meeting notes, and insights without having the Notetaker join your meeting? In this case, our Zapier integration can help!
You can set this up quickly with our ready-to-use Zap template. Let’s go through the process step by step.
Zoom default settings
MeetGeek can only access Zoom recordings that are not password-protected. Before setting up your Zap, update your Zoom recording settings:
Log in to your Zoom account on the Zoom website.
Click on Settings (on the left-hand menu).
Under the Recording tab, ensure the following:
"Require users to authenticate before viewing cloud recordings" is turned off.
"Require password to access shared cloud recordings" is turned off.
"Allow cloud recording sharing" is turned on (MeetGeek can only access cloud recordings, not local recordings).
Setting Up the Zap
Now, let's set up the Zap using our predefined template.
Log in to your Zapier account and click Try this template.
Connect your Zoom account.
At the 'Configure' step, choose one of the following triggers "All new Cloud Recordings on my account" or "Only Cloud Recordings created by me". And click 'Continue'
Now, you need to connect your MeetGeek account to Zapier. You will see this popup when connecting the apps.
6. When prompted, go to MeetGeek → Integrations → Zapier.
Copy your personal API key and paste it into the corresponding field in Zapier.
Click "Yes, Continue to MeetGeek.ai" to complete the connection.
7. If prompted again, enter your API key at the Configure step.
The Template and Language fields are optional; you can adjust these later in MeetGeek after the recording is uploaded.
8. Click Continue to complete the setup. Publish your Zap.
Whenever you record a Zoom meeting using Zoom’s built-in recording feature, the Zap will automatically trigger once the recording is uploaded to your cloud storage.
The uploaded file will appear in MeetGeek within a few minutes.
Once processing is complete, you’ll find it on the Past Meetings page.
MeetGeek automatically assigns a name to the uploaded file for easy navigation.
Now, you can leverage MeetGeek’s powerful features:
✅ Review the meeting transcript (supports 60+ languages)
✅ Catch up with automatically generated highlights
✅ Send an AI-powered meeting summary to others
✅ Gain meeting performance insights
Important: As this integration requires access to MeetGeek API, check the API limits to ensure your Zap works as expected.
