This month, we’re making it easier to capture, control, and extract value from your meetings. From smarter AI summaries and exclusion rules to a powerful new way to connect with AI assistants. We’ve also made our Chrome Extension more reliable.
MeetGeek MCP Server – Now Live
We’ve launched an open source MeetGeek MCP Server that allows MCP clients like Claude or Cursor to securely access your meeting data — including transcripts, summaries, action items, and more. You can ask questions like:
“What were the key takeaways from my sales sync yesterday?”
“Summarize my meetings tagged as onboarding”
“Write a follow-up email for yesterday’s board meeting”
Built on the Model Context Protocol (MCP), the server runs locally and provides AI tools with a structured way to interact with your meeting insights, further eliminating manual meeting-related tasks.

Chrome Extension Improvements
We’ve added new stability and recovery features to the MeetGeek Chrome Extension, so your recordings are safe even if your browser crashes or you accidentally close a tab. Here’s what’s new:
Crash-safe recovery – Recordings are now saved in chunks, so if your browser closes mid-session, you can recover the file from the sidebar after reopening.
Pinned tab protection – You’ll now see a confirmation prompt before closing a pinned tab that’s recording, helping avoid accidental shutdowns.
Bug fixes – Smoother countdown animation and improved handling of recording state when restarting the browser.
🔁 Update or install your extension to get the latest version.

Meeting Summary Improvements
Your AI meeting summaries are now smarter, clearer, and more focused on what matters most. Here’s what’s improved:
Cleaner content – Less small talk, more meaningful context
Fewer paraphrases – More direct quotes and accurate details
Clear action items – With assigned owners and real deadlines
Owner insights – Role and company context included for better clarity
Expect tighter, more relevant summaries that are easier to act on.

Notetaker Excluding Rules
Not every meeting needs to be recorded, and now you have greater control over when recording happens. You can set exclusion rules to prevent the notetaker from joining specific meetings, based on:
Keywords in the meeting title (e.g., “legal,” “coffee chat”)
Specific participant email addresses or domains
⚙️ To configure, go to Preferences → Notetaker Exclusion Rules.
Recurring Meeting Recap Emails
Recurring meetings just got easier to prepare. You can now automatically send a recap email before a recurring meeting starts, so everyone joins with full context from the last session.
Customize who receives it (yourself, teammates, or customers) and how far in advance it gets sent.
⚙️ To enable: Preferences → Sharing → Email recap of previous recurring meeting
